2011 Toyota Tacoma

During the first six months of 2011, Toyota has sold more Tacoma pickups than its full-sized Tundra pickup. With that in mind, Toyota is planning to sell a redesigned version of the Tacoma pickup in October, one of the many redesigned vehicles to come from the Japanese automaker.

Bob Carter, Group Vice President and brand manager for Toyota said that the Tacoma will undergo a new exterior redesign and an upgraded interior.

β€œIt’s an important segment for us because it provides us with young customers,” Carter said.

Tacoma currently dominates the compact pickup market as FoMoCo, GM and Chrysler have stopped investing in smaller pickups in favor of higher margins from full-sized trucks.
