We’re not huge fans of the way the Honda Pilot looks but in terms of utility, reliability and the fact that it can transport 8-passengers, it’s a pretty good bet.

For the 2012 model year, the Honda Pilot gets a “more refined look, improves its comfort and convenience features, and is designed to deliver the highest EPA fuel economy available in a three-row, 8-passenger SUV”

Sales of the 2012 Honda Pilot will start in September 2011.

Honda also announced improvements for the Ridgeline for the 2012 model year. Besides fuel-efficiency the Honda Ridgeline gets a new trim-level called Ridgeline Sport, which adds the following to Ridgeline RT standard features: exclusive black 18-inch alloy wheels, a black honeycomb grille, standard fog lights, black headlight and brake light housings, and black mirrors and door handles. The 2012 Honda Ridgeline goes on sale November 2011.
