Rolls-Royce just celebrated a historic event, with 100 model years , starting back in 1911 all the way up to close of this model year. To honor the milestone one hundred of the brands’ cars were put on display at the manufactures home location of Goodwood, West Sussex.
More than 500 guests attended the all day affair, including media representatives, members’ of the prestigious automakers’ enthusiasts’ club, and even neighbors of the local parishes. The event included seminars of the Spirit of Ecstasy and Bespoke Design, a walk though of the luxury brands’ manufacturing plant, GranAd Picnic Lunch, and of course, English Afternoon Tea.
Chief Executive of Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars Torsten Muller-Otv0s, commented on the event. “The Spirit of Ecstasy is perhaps the most famous automotive icon, gracefully adorning the prow of Rolls-Royce models past and present…We were delighted to welcome our guests, and particularly our friends from the Rolls‑Royce Enthusiasts’ Club and their magnificent motor cars, to the Home of Rolls‑Royce for our historic celebratory day.”
A new Phantom Drophead Coupe was followed by all 100 cars at the event around the Goodwood Motor Circuit to conclude the celebration.
