Bugatti Veyron what? AMS Alpha 12 Nissan GT-R gets 1,309-hp, runs 1/4 mile in 9 secs
AMS Performance has given the Nissan R35 GT-R an awesome nine second tune called the Alpha 12.
Part of the allure of the drag racing world is taking something ordinary and figuring out how to blow your competition away with it. Drag racers spend so much time and money on any and every car you could imagine to achieve those super fast quarter-mile run time slips.

AMS has tuned one up that will catch the attention of import drag racers everywhere. The R35 GT-R gets a 1,309-hp motor tucked under the hood, at 995 lb-ft of torque. The car’s top end is even impressive, hitting 60 to 130-mph in just 3.46 seconds. In the nine seconds that it takes to make its quarter-mile run, the is car blazing down the track at 166-mph.
The Alpha 12 must be an amazing machine to get behind the wheel of. AMS even gave it all black paint and wheels, but I doubt they’d be able to pass this off as a sleeper. Power like this hits more senses than sight.
