Ford and Ken Block to launch Gymkhana world tour
Ken Block has certainly gained a reputation for himself in his Gymkhana performances. While Mr. Block has exhibited his skills by partnering with Ford Motor Company, the Monster World Rally Team and recording his ability to toss a WRC-spec Ford Fiesta around a designated course on video, fans can now look forward to his latest live-audience motorsport event.
Ken Block will go on a world tour with stops in Austria, Australia, and the US to show off his driving skills. Upon each visit to the aforementioned locations, different driving courses will be constructed for each show.
Block’s Gymkhana World Tour will debut on July 10th in Vienna, Austria for two days. Those in the region who are interested can sign up with Ford of Europe and have a chance to win some grand prizes. The first being a chance to ride shotgun with Block as he drives around the road course and second is a chance to walk away with a limited-edition Monster Energy Drink Ford Fiesta. Only 30 winners will be chosen to ride with Block and 43 Fiestas will be given away.
The next stop is here in the US of A, where on July 23rd, Block will be showing off his performances at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. Lastly, the final stop will be in Melbourne, Australia on September 2-3 where Block will appear at two Ford manufacturing plants, test drive a V8 Supercar and join up with Monster teammate Tyler Wright.
