Aston Martin secures funding for next-generation lineup

2012 Aston Martin Virage

Reports out of UK state that Aston Martin has secured funding to start designing and all-new generation of supercars for sale in 2015 / 2015. Aston’s engineers have already conceptualized the new lineup, which will replace the current VH-platform DB9, Vantage and Rapide models.

The next-generation Aston Martin models are expected to be totally redesigned with new interiors and a tweaked chassis and engine lineup.

Funding for the next-generation models was finalized last week when Aston announced that a £304 million ($488 million USD) bond was fully subscribed by investors.

“This will provide long-term financial stability for the next seven years and support Aston Martin’s continued development,” Aston Martin said.
