1963 Volkswagen Microbus auctioned off for $217,800 at Barrett-Jackson
There are a lot of things in this world that $217,800 can buy. When it comes to the automotive world, you can get a Ferrari, an Audi R8 (still have some money left over, two Nissan GT-R units, two Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 units, a Porsche Panamera Turbo S, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, a Porsche 911 Turbo S – you get the pictures.
But – how about a Volkswagen Microbus? Well, one man cashed out that amount for a 1963 VW Samba Microbus at the Barrett-Jackson auction. The model is a first-generation and restored to better-than-new condition.
Man, we wish we had the kind of money to just buy random things with.
