Report: BMW to sell 2 million vehicles annually by 2016
A report by Germany’s Manager Magazin states that BMW is aiming to sell 2 million vehicles a year by 2016.
Citing sources, the report said that the company would especially focus on selling a new range of compact cars.
The report said that BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer expects the trend to continue in the following years and sees a chance of global sales hitting as much as 2.5 or even 2.6 million units a year by 2020.
A BMW spokesman declined to comment calling the report nothing but pure speculations. He pointed out to an earlier comment by Reithofer where he said he expects sales to pass 2 million by 2020.
