While it’s still unofficial, reports suggest that a BMW driver lapped the Nurburgring in a 2012 BMW M5 in 7:55 seconds. That makes the 2012 BMW M5 4 seconds faster around the Ring than the Cadillac CTS-V and 1 second faster than the Porsche Panamera Turbo, which are the only to production sedan to return a time of under 8 minutes.
