AAA to launch fast-charging trucks for stranded electric-car drivers
The American Automobile Association wants to be sure no one gets left stranded. To maintain this goal they now special equipment out those who drive electric cars. Fast-charging trucks will soon be added to their line-up, which are set to start testing in August.
Initally, AAA will have six “mobile charging units” in California, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington.
There are currently no details on who will be producing the special vehicles, or what it will cost to do so. Still, the first mobile charging unit is scheduled for showing in July, in Raleigh, N.C., at an electric-vehicle conference.
