Tesla will stop taking orders for the Roadster in 2 months
The Tesla Roadster has become known for changing the perception of electric cars from being little more than golf carts with doors. With a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a driving range of 250 miles on a single charge, the Tesla Roadster offers far more than other electric-cars on the roads. The road is now about to come to an end for the Tesla Roadster.
Tesla said that it will stop taking orders for the model in the United States in about two months as it will shift focus on the Model S electric sedan.

“We do not plan to sell our current generation Tesla Roadster after 2011 due to planned tooling changes at a supplier for the Tesla Roadster,” Tesla said.
The Tesla Model S will hit roads in mid-2012.
