GM adds 2,500 jobs, production of next Chevrolet Impala at to Detroit-Hamtramck

General Motors announced today that it is adding two shifts and about 2,500 hourly and salaried workers at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant. The new plant, where Chevrolet Volt is already produced, will also produce the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu and the next-generation Chevrolet Impala.
