It was recently reported that the 2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe beat the new BMW M3 around the Hockenheim track by a hairline. The 1-Series M Coupe lapped the track in 1:14.1, while the BMW M3 returned a lap time of 1:14.2.

Here is another interesting BMW 1-Series M Coupe battle performed by the guys at MotorSport Magazine. They pinned the latest BMW M offering against the E46 BMW M3 and you can see the results in the video posted after the jump.
