2011 BMW X3 vs. 2011 Audi Q5

About a year ago, BMW’s X3 had no chance to stand face-to-face with the Audi Q5. However, the Bavarian compact crossover has now gone through a complete redesign and re-engineering for the 2011 model year and we’re here today putting the new 2011 BMW X3 up against the 2011 Audi Q5 in our Let’s Talk Numbers battle.

Sometimes numbers doesn’t really matter for some people.
I like BMW’s exterior and technology these years but I never like their interior each model they have, especially the X3′s exterior…

We just crossed shopped the Q5 and X3 and chose the X3. IMO better styling, better performance(smoother engine, better handling, felt lighter). It wasn’t close. We paid more(Audi was offering rebates) but felt we ended up with a much better product.

     X3 for me…period

  • Kent Davies

agreed with Pat, x3 hands down just because of the drive.  my cousin owns this car and its honestly the best SUV I have driven, i would be willing to pay a little extra

Wow the BMWs 35i 0-60 times are impressive.  With a very little price difference, this is a no brainer – BMW wins

  • Dryoung10

Drove both, decent vehicles. My personal preference was the Q5. Q5 is an all around solid car and the interior and amenities were far superior to the BMW X3. I think is you’re interested in 0-60 times of mid sized SUVs you may want to figure out your priorities before buying a new vehicle :)

    Audi Q5 all the way…

  • lmariorod

Audi Q5 all the way. Looks alone blow the X3 away. Improved X3 still looks the same with spartan interior vs. Audi’s.

  • Bill

BMW X3 was a no brainer for me. Reliability on Audi vehicles is abysmal. Consumer Reports doesn’t even recommend the Q5 because of reliability.

  • Leo

    Q5 forever!
