Let's Talk Numbers: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze vs. 2012 Ford Focus

Last week during one of our ‘Let’s Talk Numbers’ segment we took one of the most popular segments in the automotive industry – the compact segment – and put the 2012 Honda Civic, 2011 Hyundai Elantra and the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze in a head-on numbers battle. What about the new 2012 Ford Focus? Did we just forget about FoMoCo’s new hot offering?

I will also have to go with Ford on this one…it just looks better and the fuel-economy numbers aren’t that different

I’m a long-time GM fan and even I have to say that the Focus has more power, looks nicer (IMO) and is the same price. While the Cruze is definitely a good effort, GM needs to head back to the drawing board and look at the competitors in the same segment and see where they need to up there game. They need to make a leap ahead of the pack and not just keep pace or be content with 2nd place. It’s a competitive new world and you have to be in it, to win it!

Focus win, easy choice.  On paper at least
