2012 Audi A6 Avant

Yesterday, Audi took the wraps off of the new 2012 Audi A6 Avant, a station wagon that is appealing to all luxury buyers. However, the German automaker has no plans to offer the redesigned A6 Avant in the United States.

“We don’t have plans to bring the [new] A6 Avant to the U.S,” said Audi of America spokesman Andrew Lipman.

Audi of America currently sells the 2011 A6 Avant in the U.S. for a starting price tag of $46,075.

While this doesn’t bother me much since I’m not a fan of station wagons, we believe the A6 Avant would have been a strong competitor to the Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon and the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo.
