Facebook voting will decide 100 nonprofit organizations to receive Toyotas

Toyota 100 Cars for Good

In a brilliant PR move designed to garner goodwill among consumers, Toyota launched a program called ‘100 Cars for Good’ by which the Japanese automaker will be giving away 100 cars over the course of 100 days to 100 deserving nonprofit organizations. The best part is that the recipient organizations will be chosen by voters.

The company will be profiling five organizations per day on its Facebook page, from which voters can make their choice. Winning organizations will have their choice from the following vehicles: Toyota Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander Hybrid, Sienna or Sienna Mobility. Toyota Financial Services will also provide a six-year 100,000 mile Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement for each vehicle, covering each one well after the warranty period.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to shine a light on the outstanding work carried out by each of the 500 finalists,” said Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “The positive impact of these organizations in their respective communities is immeasurable. We encourage the public to learn more about these great nonprofits and actively participate by casting a vote. We wish all of the finalists the best of luck.”
