Toyota has something to be really proud of today – the brand regained its position as the world’s most valuable auto brand despite it’s massive recall woes. Toyota’s brand value jumped 11 percent to $24.2 billion in BrandZ Top 100 annual ranking of the world’s most valuable brands, making it the No. 1 brand in the ‘Cars’ category.
Toyota reclaims position as most valuable car brand demonstrating the power of strong brands to recover from the most fundamental challenges.
Toyota overtook BMW, which was No. 1 last year in the automotive category.
Apple managed the No.1 spot as it increased by 859 percent since 2006 and now stands at $153.3 billion. Not only was Apple No. 1, it ended Google’s 4-year reign at the top of the table in the sixth annual BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study.
In the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study Toyota showed up on No. 27, while BMW took No. 30.
