Ford F-150 SVT Raptor has record month in April 2011, outsells Honda Ridgeline

2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew

Even though gas prices are at the highest point since July 2008, sales of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor managed to hit record levels in April. Ford ended up selling a total of 1,183 F-150 SVT Raptors last month, according to Ford SVT spokesman Henry Platt.

Surprisingly, that’s 231 more than the 952 Honda Ridgeline pickups sold in April.

Not like that’s a big deal but as PickupTrucks.com points out both trucks appeal to niche buyers.

Platt said that 80 percent of Ford F-150 SVT Raptor sales were of the new SuperCrew model.

    Well I think it is a big deal. Honda should be ashamed of such a number and a creation. One would think a mid size truck with decent mpg would sell well right now?
