General Motors announced today that its North America President Mark Reuss will be holding a press conference tomorrow at GM Bowling Green Assembly, 600 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42101.

GM said the announcement is a “positive news announcement for the plant and Corvette lovers.”

According to sources that spoke with the Wall Street Journal, GM plans to announce an investment of around $100 million to upgrade its Corvette factory in Bowling Green, Ky., people familiar with the situation said, the latest sign that auto maker’s penny-pinching days are behind it.

Chevrolet recently announced a line of upgrades for the 2012 Corvette model year.

    100 million could be better spent on a car for the masses. GM headed right back down the same path. Couple more years the taxpayers can bail them out again. All automakers have to stop spending this kind of money for a car that so few will buy.
