Saab to announce Chinese partnership tomorrow

Saab plans to hold a press conference tomorrow to announced a strategic partnership with China Hawtai Motor Group. Saab chairman Victor Muller and Richard Zhang, vice president of Hawtai Motor Group, are expected to address the media in Beijing at 2:30 a.m. ET. It will be 2:30 p.m. in China.

Muller has told Reuters that the announcement about the deal involves “investing in Spyker,” but declined to give other details. Muller is currently hanging out in Beijing to make the announcement tomorrow.

Hawtai Motor Group’s business includes the development, sales and export of vehicles, diesel engines for sedans and gearboxes for automatic transmissions.
