    1. The Panamera is slightly heavier than the CTS-V, but instead of choosing the more HP-comparable Turbo-S, they didn’t want to look the Cadilac as a fool, so they opted for the regular Turbo (no “S), silly.
    2. Even though it’s heavier and has less HP, the Panamera won from the Caddi. Also, the BMW is way heavier, and kept up quite well. Why? Does American cars nowadays still have way to much friction in their drivetrains and focus to much on HP (for marketing reasons) instead of torque over the full throttle-range?

Umm, the Panamera was the only sedan in this test. Of course the AWD is going to win in a drag race. And look at the price differences. The caddy is $30k less than the Bimmer and $100,000 less than the Porsche! Put the sedan (which costs even less) up against the Porsche and the results would be much closer. Now, the Porrsche would still win, but by a smaller margin. The V is clearly the bang for the buck here. Which is typically what GM goes for. Besides, I’ll take the one that can actually get a little tail happy any day.

Oh, and have you seen a torque curve for the LS2/LS3/LS6/LS7? It’s a torque line.

I think another thing to not is the HP per Liter that is being achieved for each of the cars. The 6.2L supercharged engine in the Cadillac is putting out the same as the 4.4 twin turbo BMW engine. The torque numbers would be good to see though considering the displacement of the Cadillac and the RWD drivetrain as well.
