New information leaks on 2012 Chevrolet Corvette

2012 Chevrolet Centennial Edition Corvette Z06

According to leaked dealer order information on a Corvette fan site on the Internet, General Motors plans to offer a range of performance and appearance packages on the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette.

Aside from the Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Edition seen earlier this month, other packages for the 2012 model year include a High Performance Package on the Corvette ZR1 and an upgraded Z07 Ultimate Performance Package for the Corvette Z06.

The Corvette ZR1 High Performance Package adds black cup-style aluminum wheels, Michelin PS Cup tires and a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z07 Ultimate Performance package for the 2012 Corvette Z06 includes Performance Traction Management, Michelin PS Cup tires, black cup-style aluminum wheels, Magnetic Selective Ride Control and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.

GM will also offer a Technology Package, which will add a Bose audio system with navigation, head-up display, Bluetooth and a USB port.

In the color department, Jetstream Blue Metallic is replaced with Carlisle Blue Metallic, and a blue-colored convertible top will be available later in the model year.
