The new Volvo S60 definitely has the looks to make one think that it’s great to drive. But, unfortunately it undercuts anyone’s expectations of the latter. To address this, Volvo is revising the R-Design package for the S60 and XC60.

Similar to that of a BMW M-Sport, Audi S-Line and Mercedes AMG appearance/sport package, the R-Design adds a little sporty flair to the humdrum, but handsome Volvos.

In addition to some reworked suspension tweaks, the S60 and XC60 will get 25 more horses and 29 more torques from the turbocharged T6 straight-six. The end result is a strong 325-hp and a twisty 354 lb-ft of torque, up from 300 and 325.

The visual upgrades for the R-Design also receive minor upgrades that include a piano black glossy grill, unique R-Design twin exhaust and exclusive five-spoke 18-inch wheels.
