2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe is one of the most extreme M models built by BMW. In a recent review by German magazine Sport Auto, the BMW 1-Series M Coupe beat the new BMW M3 around the Hockenheim by hairline. The 1-Series M Coupe returned a lap time of 1:14.1 while the BMW M3 returned a lap time of 1:14.2.

Sport Auto clocked 4.7 seconds for 0-62 mph and 17.2 seconds for 0-124mph.

Refresher: The 2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe is powered by a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine making 335-hp and a maximum torque of 332 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the 2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe goes from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds) with a top speed of 155 mph.Prices start at $47,010.

    That’s really impressive that the N54 can match the performance figures of the V8, but still the M3 looks much better than this, and will probably remain the legendary icon it is.
