NHTSA opens investigation into 2008 Toyota Corolla, 2006 Honda CR-V
Here is a round of some boring NHTSA news that might of some interest to 2008 Toyota Corolla and 2006 Honda CR-V owners.
- Federal regulators are investigating a motorist’s report that the airbags in his 2008 Toyota Corolla failed to deploy when the vehicle hit a deer at 55 mph. The NHTSA says that the airbag probe could affect as many as 170,000 vehicles. – AutoWeek
- NHTSA has upgraded an investigation into nearly 150,000 Honda CR-V over reports of smoke and fire occurring inside the driver’s door. The probe covers 149,583 2006 Honda CR-V units and is focused on melting or burning of the master power window switch and related electrical system wiring. – Detroit News
