Video: Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class exterior design explained

We can’t get enough of the new Mercedes-Benz Concept A and really can’t wait to see it live at the 2011 New York Auto Show next week. Until we wait, Mercedes-Benz was kind enough to release a short video with Mark Fetherston, the team leader of the exterior design of new concept cars, describing to us what the new Concept A-Class is all about.

Refresher: Power for the Mercedes-Benz Concept A comes from a transversely mounted 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged, direct-injected engine that produces 210-hp with a maximum torque of 229 lb-ft. The engine in the Concept A is mated to a dual-clutch transmission, although Mercedes-Benz won’t say how many gears we have to shift with here.
