Yesterday before we wrapped up the day, Mercedes-Benz dropped the new beautiful Concept A, which hints at the next-generation A-Class hatchback. The Stuttgart automaker has now released a video showing the new Concept A-Class in motion while providing us a closer look at the design and inspiration behind the study.
The Mercedes-Benz Concept A will be making its public debut at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show and the 2011 New York Auto Show. The production model will hit dealerships next year – let’s just hope that it will still look like this.

Refresher: Power for the Mercedes-Benz Concept A comes from a transversely mounted 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged, direct-injected engine that produces 210-hp with a maximum torque of 229 lb-ft. The engine in the Concept A is mated to a dual-clutch transmission, although Mercedes-Benz won’t say how many gears we have to shift with here.
