Inspired by BMW’s April Fools joke of the M3 Pickup, a reader over at CarScoop decided to do his own rendering version of a high-performance pickup based on the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe.

Makes us think what if high-performance pickups actually became a competing segment?

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe will make its public debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show later this month.

Refresher: The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe is powered by a 6.3L V8 engine making 451-hp with a maximum torque of 443 lb-ft. Mated standard to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. The AMG Development Package allows the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe to produce 481-hp. That allows it to improve 0 to 60 mph acceleration to 4.3 seconds with a top speed increased to 174 mph.

    Here is Similar Story

The Mercedes C63 AMG is an extreme prejudice answer to BMW’s M3 that leaves all-comers in its substantial wake. You get out of this 456bhp, RWD monster with sweaty palms and a stupid grin on your face, but it’s a bit hardcore for everyday use.

I like either truck. I don’t imagine that they would have difficulty finding a few buyers here and down under. But why not a larger one based on the E and 5?? For utility sake let’s say lol.
