David E. Davis Jr.

Legendary automotive journalist David E. Davis Jr. passed away on Sunday at age 80. Davis had been suffering from bladder cancer and underwent surgery a few days earlier.

Reports say his passing was unexpected as he appeared to be in good health and was in good spirits at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Florida just two weeks earlier.

Davis was the editor of CARandDRIVER and was the founder of Automobile Magazine.
