BMW’s Heat Testing team travels to some of the hottest places on the planet, as they aim to ensure that a BMW can be driven anywhere in the world. In the video you’re about to see here, the Heat Testing team travels to Death Valley, which holds the record for the highest reliably reported temperature in the Western hemisphere – 134 °F. Interesting huh?

Well, not as interesting as the car the Heat Testing team brought with them. The car you see in the video is a camouflaged 2012 BMW 3-Series, which will be unveiled to the public later this year (most likely at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show).

Don’t get to excited because you really can’t see much of the car’s exterior or interior – however, it is an interesting video nonetheless.

Follow the jump for the video.
