Saab reports full year 2010 results and talks about a bunch of other things

Besides the retirement of CEO Jan Ake Jonsson, owner Spyker Cars ate up are in box with a bunch of press releases today. Instead of boring you with one Saab article after another that doesn’t talk about new vehicles from the company we thought it’ll be better to just give you a brief summary of Spyker/Saab and its 8 million press releases today.

  • Saab announced results for the full year 2010 ending Dec. 31, 2010. Full-year sales of € 819 million, Q4 sales of € 301 million. 31,696 units sold in 2010 compared to 27,482 in 2009, an increase of 15%. 11,448 cars sold in Q4 of 2010.
  • Saab picked Moscow-based Armand Import as its distributor to expand its international distribution network to the Russian market. Official sales in Russia are expected to start mid-2011.
  • Saab signed an agreement with China Automobile Trading Co. LTD regarding the import of Saab vehicles for the Chinese market. Under the agreement, CATC will, on behalf of Saab, import Saab cars to China.
  • Spyker announced that it will issue a total of 5,555,555 shares to Tenaci Capital B.V. (Tenaci), Dorwing Solution Limited (Dorwing) and Trenton International Limited (Trenton).
