GM Treasurer Dan Ammann is scheduled to replace Chris Liddell as CFO of the automaker on April 1. The Detroit automaker today disclosed the new CFO will receive $4.2 million in annual compensation.
Amman’s pay package will consist of $3.45 million in restricted stock units designed to match pay to the company’s long-term performance along with a $750,000 annual salary.
Since GM received a $49.5 billion federal bailout, the company’s pay practices are carefully watched by the United States Treasury Department.
