At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Koenigsegg showed up with their new Agera. Power for the Koenigsegg Agera comes from the same 4.7L V8 twin-turbocharged as the CCX making 910-hp with a maximum torque of 737 lb-ft. That allows the Koenigsegg run from 0 to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 240 mph. So how do you make an already fast supercar faster? You add an R at the end.

Meet the Koenigsegg Agera R. Power comes from a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 making a neck snapping 1,115-hp and a maximum torque of 885 lb-ft on E85 fuel. If you fill the tank with 95-octange gasoline instead of E85 biofuel, you’ll only get 940-hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and we’re pretty sure that cuts the 0 to 62 mph time down to something that’s very impressive (Koenigsegg didn’t confirm performance figures).

While no performance figures were released Koenigsegg points out that the Agera R rides on Vortex Generating Rim (VGR) wheels that are wrapped in Michelin tires developed specifically for the car. The tires are apparently good for 260 mph, which makes them the highest speed rated tired in the world.

The Koenigsegg Agera R will debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
