Recently offered for auction, was a replica of a Bugatti Veyron, built upon a Mercury Cougar. While the two cars are perhaps the polar opposite of each other in terms of both style and performance, the owner of the vehicle was able to construct a replica that seems passable – at least at first glance.
The Veyron draws it power from 16-cylinders, and puts out 987bhp. All this sits on a four-wheel drive system. The 2002 V6 Cougar that was used however, puts out a paltry 168bhp, and has front-wheel-drive.
The starting bid asking price was a laughable $89,000. A bargain though, when compared to the close to $1,000,000 an actual Veyron would set you back.
