GMC Granite Concept

We’ve heard many times before that General Motors plans on putting the GMC Granite concept into production. However, GM PR has repeatedly denied reports that the Scion-looking rival GMC will ever see the light of day.

According to ‘a well-placed source’ that spoke with Motor Trend, the GMC Granite has been green-lighted for production. The source said that the model will go to production with the trick suicide-style rear passenger doors in place.

Don’t expect to see the GMC Granite in a local dealership anytime soon because we also hear that production isn’t expected to begin until the later part of 2012.
