De Tomaso SLC (Early Look)

A brand by the name of De Tomaso, once known for its exotic supercars, is planning to make a comeback with a new crossover that will debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Known as the De Tomaso SLC, the model is something like the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo.

No technical specs have been released but it is said that the model may be based on the Cadillac SRX, as the interior is almost the same.

A General Motors spokesman said that he has no knowledge of De Tomaso entering into a supply agreement with the company and that it is likely that De Tomaso bought the car through normal retail channels. If that is true, the De Tomaso is powered by the Cadillac SRX’s 3.0L V6 unit making 265-hp.

We’ll have more details from the 2011 Geneva Motor Show next month.

    Very surprising to see how generic the exterior looks. Even more surprising is the stance, the track looks very narrow for the with of the body, the rear wheel looks a good 2-3″ inside the wheel arch, visible from 3:50 to 4:10.
    Anybody knows who the five people are?
