Volkswagen Golf 24 Race Car

At this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hour race in June, Volkswagen will show up with this – the Volkswagen Golf 24 Race Car. The model will make its first public appearance at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Refresher: Power for the Volkswagen Golf 24 comes from an updated 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo engine from the Volkswagen Group making a whopping 440-hp and a maximum torque of 398 lb-ft. Power is transmitted to all four-wheels through a sequential 6-speed gearbox with paddle shifter.
