Even if it got 100 MPG I would not buy one mostly because Honda of America which is based out of California treats it’s customers be they short or long term one’s like a doormat. I can attest to this because I’ve been a long term buyer of Honda as far back as 1975. No more, given how poorly/sadly Honda of America has treated their customer base. You buyers of the Honda Accord of 2003-4 can attest to that because of the automatic transmission problems. Am I right or wrong. Oh by the way even if you bought the extended warranty on your Honda from a Honda dealer they still manage to wheals their way out of fixing my transmission problem.

Wow Honda just keeps tightening its own noose. This si is seriously lacking in design and power. And so dies Honda as it ventures over to Toyota land

it looks like a lunch box….not good honda

  • Gigan

The interior is like a Crazy Stairs painting. I knew that they would not let Hyundai keep the lead in mpgs

in Canada the Hyundai Elantra gets 49 mpg….this fails

The CRX HF from the 80s, and teh VX from the 90s can do 50 mpg. Even the HX from 10 years ago beats this new one

  • Beelzebub

The interior is weird but still better than the Elantra’s anime look …

  • Beelzebub

I guess thing are measured different Canada … I would like to think that if the Civic beats the Elantra’s mileage in one measuring system, it would do so in all …. ?

The Elantra gets 40 mpg in America … it fails

I really don’t know if Honda engineers live in this world or on some kind of virtual one.
Have they seen the interior of the Golf, new Focus, Cruze, opel Astra the new civic is not even in the same class, it’s hideous. I’m Honda fan. Here in Europe civic gets blown away by the competition and the new one will be KOd..
Outdated engines and transmissions, poor sound damping………bad really bad

  • GMfan87

agreed on the interior, it reminds me of a Picasso painting all jumbled up and off-center

Disappointing interior, Si sedan looks ok, and TSX engine in this thing? Should be fun…but what’s up with the Subaru-like ground clearance?

I an a life long defender of Honda, i have owned a 92 civic and currently a 02 civic coupe which is a source of pride for me, I remember in high school I would get into fights with friends over the cars we owned and I always defended the superiority of the civic name, my 02 is still going strong but I was looking for a new civic to move on to, but unfortunately I am very disappointed with the new civic coupes. The interior is disgusting and ugly, i mean the dash looks like a desk I can do homework on and the instrument gage looks like the makers of pokemon designed it. just awful I am so disappointed.

I agree, my mom owns a 04 tsx but she just drives it i have to take care of all the dealings with the dealership and its awful, we purchased the extended warranty and it was a big mistake, the people at the dealers come up with a thousand excuses not to cover your fix, and our fix was an electrical problem with the stereo system, the lights illuminate the buttons went out. and theyre new acuras are being built in America instead of Japan, its a matter of time before they start faulting.
