According to Buyology, the brand name most coveted in the US by men is Crest by Proctor & Gamble. While that is certainly interesting, the second most coveted brand is BMW. You may be surprised – as I was – to find that men, especially, covet a toothpaste brand over something a little more high-end.
Forbes stated that “the study looked at men and women’s relationships with many of the nation’s biggest brands. By examining the strength and types of those relationships on both a conscious and nonconscious level, using the tools of neuromarketing, which has been around since the 1990s, Buyology [strategic neuromarketing firm] found that men and women are drawn to different kinds of brands, and for different reasons.”
There were three automakers among the top 10 brands for men: Hyundai came in at number 5 while Lexus rounded out the list with the ten spot. There were none on the Women’s top 10 list, but BMW took number 16 and Ford took 18.
