Rolls-Royce steals Jaguar’s executive design director

Giles Taylor

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced today that they have stolen Giles Taylor from Jaguar and has appointed him the Head of Exterior Design. Taylor will join the company starting April and will report to Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group design.

Taylor, 43, spent the last 10 years as an executive design director for two models series at Jaguar, including the new Jaguar XJ.

“Giles brings with him exceptional design skills and a comprehensive understanding of British values and heritage that are so crucial to Rolls-Royce,” said van Hooydonk. “His appointment will further strengthen the extraordinary Rolls-Royce team headed by Ian Cameron.”
