Volkswagen to show 7 concept vehicles at the 2011 Geneva show

Volkswagen is working very hard to overtake Toyota and General Motors to become the world’s No.1 automaker by 2018. With that in mind, the German automakers plans to show up at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with seven concept vehicles to show off its development capabilities.

The seven concepts will come from various Volkswagen Group brands including Seat, Skoda, Audi and Volkswagen. Volkswagen Group design boss Walter de’ Silva said that Italdesign Giugiaro, which V-dub recently purchased last spring, will also show two concept vehicles.

While most of the concepts we see at auto shows never make it to production, Volkswagen won’t have that problem since it has already approved an investment budget of $71 billion from 2011 to 2015.
