Alleged BMW 1-Series Gran Turismo photo pops up online
Every rumor or speculation you hear on the internet should be taken with a grain of salt, which leads us to this picture of what looks like the BMW 1-Series Gran Turismo that popped up on the web earlier this week. According to reports, the 1-Series Gran Turismo is internally known as the Compact Activity Tourer and will be one of the first front-wheel-drive models from BMW.

Rumored to be launched in 2012, the 1-Series Gran Turismo will be powered by a range of 4-cylinder engines including a diesel 136-hp 1.3L and a turbo variant making 177-hp. The gasoline models will come in displacements of 1.2L and 1.5L making up to 184-hp.
To us, it seems like the BMW 1-Series Gran Turismo will compete against the likes of the upcoming Audi A2 and the Mercedes-Benz B-Class.
