At the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, Arizona auction this past weekend, someone wrote a check for more than $2 million for a 5-year old Ferrari. The 2006 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione went for $2.1 million in bidding at the Gooding and Co. auction.

Yes, we understand that there were only 30 units of the 860-hp FXX Evoluzione produced, but still.

The second highest winning bid was on a 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic – going for $1.7 million.
