Sources: BMW Megacity electric-car will be ‘expensive’
A couple of months ago, BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer said that the automaker isn’t planning on making huge profits on its first battery-operated electric-vehicle, the Megacity. Nonetheless, sources say that the BMW Megacity will be ‘expensive’ when it is first launched in 2013.

“BMW is a premium product and electric mobility will not be cheap,” the source said.
Things might look better once technology advances and it is predicted that prices will come down in the future.
The 5-seater BMW Megacity will get around 160 miles on a single charge.
