Mazda has been keeping all of us on our toes with their plans for the RX-8 replacement. Of course we know, by tradition it will be powered by a rotary Wankel engine.

It seems like Mazda may have run into a little wall because on their Facebook page, they asked: “If you were to design a new RX model, what key features would you add?”

For me, it would be a plasma warp drive, machine guns and a frick’n laser beam attached to its head…or ‘er roof. Maybe even a flux capacitor! Ok. I might not be the best consultant for adding automobile features. But what would you add?

runflats or a spare tire, electric turbo and a DSG as an option [and laser beams too, why not?]

DSG, a trick little dash screen that can display lateral gs and the like, tpms that tells you which tire is low, and an oil gauge that’s actually useful.

I would add a detailed course on how to exactly maintain theses rotary cars to both mechanics and owners!
