Toyota FT-86 Concept

While the Geneva Motor Show isn’t until March, automakers are are already confirming what they’ll be showing at the major auto show, which officially opens to the press on March 1. Besides the Subaru Impreza Concept, which we saw at the 2010 LA Auto Show, Subaru will show a Trezia – a concept that hints at a environmentally friendly New Compact Smart Wagon.

The most interesting vehicle being shown by Subaru at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show will be the Subaru Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car Technology Concept.

“Based on an all-new platform, the vehicle will offer Subaru’s distinctive trademark and core technology: the ‘Horizontally-Opposed Subaru Boxer engine'” Subaru said in a press release. “The concept embodies Subaru’s established know-how in manufacturing boxer-powered passenger cars; it shows how Subaru proposes to integrate this expertise into a rear-wheel drive car to offer a new and highly enjoyable, Subaru-like driving experience. The technology concept will demonstrate how the all-new car platform makes full use of Subaru’s engineering and Boxer technology.”
