Porsche 918 Spyder

The 2011 Detroit Auto Show is just a couple of days away and we’re really looking forward to the first auto show of 2011. While we’ve already seen a bunch of Detroit Auto Show previews, reports today suggest that Volkswagen will finally show its much anticipated new mid-sized sedan for the American market at the show.

The sedan will go on sale in the second half of 2011 after being produced at Volkswagen’s new factory in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It will be a 2012 model year vehicle.

Porsche, which is on its way to becoming the 10th brand under the Volkswagen Group umbrella has already promised us “something spectacular” at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. So far, we’ve been thinking that Porsche will show us a production version of the 918 Spyder concept, but according to reports Porsche will show a 918 Spyder Coupe concept. The Porsche 918 Spyder originally made its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in roadster form.

Please make sure you join us next week as we bring you live coverage of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.

I really like VW’s, but we all know what this new NMS VW is going to look like. A bigger Jetta with the same boring look.

Until VW owns up to their Diesel high pressure fuel pumps disintegrating and creating 6 to 10 thousand dollar repair bills I think the buying public should put VW right at the bottom of their list of cars to consider.

As for the Boring Jetta comment, you are probaly right about that, the new VW CC turns heads for sure, but then when you check out the MSRP you think more than twice about VW and their grand plans to be the biggest global car builder in a few years.

On this one, they have a BIG problem and it’s name is Hyundai.
