2011 Ford Explorer V6 gets EPA-certified 25 mpg highway rating

FoMoCo announced today that the 2011 Ford Explorer V6 model has received an EPA-certified fuel-economy raying of 17/25 mpg (city/highway), a 25 percent improvement over the previous V6 model. “The new Explorer V6 with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) delivers a keen balance between power and fuel economy,” said Jim Holland, chief nameplate engineer.
