GM sells between 250-350 Chevrolet Volt in Dec., Nissan sells less than 10 LEAFs

One of egmCarTech’s Top 10 Automotive Industry Moments of 2010 was the first delivery of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt and the all-electric 2011 Nissan LEAF. However, don’t count on seeing one during your commute since it will be well into 2012 before both the Volt and LEAF are made available nationwide.

Sales for both cars so far have been minimal and are likely to stay that way due to limited supply. GM sold between 250 and 350 Volts this month, while Nissan sold less than 10 LEAF units in the past two weeks Production for both is slowly ramping up.
If you’re interested in buying either vehicle, you’ll need to get behind the some 50,000 people that are already on the waiting list.
